What a difference a year makes

Broker Insights’ CEO, Fraser Edmond, shares his thoughts on the progress made throughout 2023, the milestones achieved, and the outlook for 2024 and beyond.

As 2023 draws to a close, I’d like to thank our Broker Insights community as I share my reflections on this exceptional year. Launching our new platform Vision, achieving 400% GWP platform growth, welcoming new partners, and receiving multiple industry awards are all testament to our goal of revolutionising the commercial insurance industry.

Introducing Broker Insights Vision^TM

This year saw the launch of Broker Insights Vision™, a much-anticipated update of our original platform, which connects brokers and insurers seamlessly and efficiently. Vision enhanced our ability to compile, standardise, and utilise commercial insurance market data, and offers our partners unparalleled insights into the commercial insurance industry.

We also introduced MatchPoints™ which bridges the knowledge gap that exists between brokers and insurers, highlighting exactly where the best collaborations can be achieved.

Platform Success

As a result of a number of brokers and networks signing up to the platform, brokers will upload more than £5 billion of annual gross written premium (GWP) this year to our platform. This represents an incredible 400% increase in just two years! This growth is a testament to the strength of the partnership between Broker Insights, brokers and insurers, all of whom are increasingly leveraging our technology to drive efficiency in their operations and strengthen professional relationships.

Expanding Partnerships

We are delighted to welcome five new insurer partners and eleven new MGA partners onboard. Our commitment to fostering strategic alliances allows us to provide a comprehensive and diverse panel for our broker clients.

Industry Recognition

Broker Insights’ dedication to excellence hasn’t gone unnoticed. We are honoured to have received four industry awards, including two prestigious Gold Insurance Times Awards. These accolades affirm our position as a leader in the insurtech space and motivate us to continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

Employee-First Initiatives

Recognising the importance of our team, we have introduced several HR initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being of our staff. The Employee Assistance Program is an integral component of our commitment to fostering a supportive and compassionate workplace.

A Solid Foundation for a Bright Future

In conclusion, thanks, to all our community, 2023 has been a year of remarkable growth and achievement. Our commitment to innovation, partnerships, and community engagement continues to drive our success. I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together, and I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.

Funds that would typically be used towards sending physical Christmas cards will again be reappropriated to our local community, namely Help for Kids Christmas Toy Appeal. In addition to this donation, staff will be volunteering their time to assist in the appeal and aid those in our local community.

Broker Insights will close for the holidays on Friday, 22nd December, to allow our hardworking team a well-deserved break. We will reopen on Wednesday, 3rd January, ready to embark on new challenges and successes in the coming year.
